SEZ status received for 132 acres of land

In this article, you may find information about the SEZ status notification for the 132 acres of land for the Kochi SmartCity project.

The ministry of commerce granted Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status for 132 acres of land for the proposed Kochi SmartCity project. There is 114 acres remaining in the proposed 246 acres of land. There will be a separate notification for the remaining land within a week or so. There is a river dividing the proposed land which made it necessary to have separate SEZ notifications for the 2 pieces of land. In future, when bridges and over bridges are made to connect both the lands, single SEZ status will be given for the entire land.

Tecom is planning to start construction after receiving the SEZ status for the rest of the land, which is expected next week.
