Kochi SmartCity Lease agreement signed

The prestigious Smartcity project agreement was signed on today, the 23rd February, 2011. Smartcity project building construction will be started immediately. Smart City project is expected to become a mile stone for the IT development of Kerala.

Smart city project that is expected to change the images of Kochi and Kerala, signed on today 23rd February 2011. The dream smart city project that becomes a milestone in IT development of Kerala, is signed at Kakkanadu Info Park Conference Hall where the Board of Directors has conducted meeting today.

Kerala CM V.S. Achuthananthan stated repeatedly that the new Smart city agreement is favorable for all demands of Kerala. Tecom CEO Abdullah al Latif al Mulla, Minister S. Sharma, IT Secretary K. Suresh Kumar and NRI business man M. A Yusaffali are attended the Directors board meeting. Later S. Sharma and Abdullah al Latif al Mulla have conducted the press meeting.

V. S. Achuthananthan added the all uncertainty and confusions regarding the Smart City project ended with this agreement. 'Further conditions and other proceedings regarding the Smart city will be discussed in next Board meeting'. Achuthananthan said. Tecom CEO Abdullah al Latif al Mulla reported that the smartcity Project will become the milestone in the history of Kerala and the Smart city master plan will be submitted within the two weeks.

Smart City Project Master plan will be submitted soon

Government of Kerala forwarded a demand to Tecom to begin the construction of at least one building immediately by making master plan within two weeks. State Government demanded this is by focusing the upcoming legislative assembly elections 2011.

Tecom had adopted the method of starting the construction after completion of total master plan in Malta Smart city. But according to the sources Tecom will be ready to satisfy the demand of state Government as the issues regarding SEZ are already resolved

The two lease deeds of Smart city Project are including in the entire 246 acres. One of them is 131 acres and another one is the remaining 115 acres.
