Asadeepam is a rehabilitation centre for the mentally disabled children and a residential school for special education. This is a venture of Santimargam Social Welfare Service Society located at Kalamassery, in the Ernakulam district of Kerala.
Training provided at the Asadeepam Special school
Asadeepam Rehabilatory centre provides development oriented, scientific Special Education, Physical Training, Vocational Training and Residential care to the inmates and try to bring these students to come up as much as they can in their life. Almost all of the inmates are from the poorer sections of the community and incapable of looking after their need of special education and care.
Care for the children at Asadeepam Special School
The present strength of the center is 60 inmates and 13 staff. The method followed is NIMH syllabus and all the teachers are professionally trained. The organization if registered as a Charitable Society and Registered with No. ER 593/93. It is approved Govt. of India and donations for the organization is exempted from income tax under 80(G) and 12A (a) of income tax Act of India 1961.
Under Recognition of the Kerala Government
The school is recognized by the state government of Kerala and the organization is approved by the Government of India. The school is working on Charity and the expenses are met by contribution, donations and other charities offered by various individuals organizations and Govt. Donations for the Building fund
The school is still in a rented building and it is not helping the people who are running it. They are collecting donations from one and all for the building fund to the estimated amount of 28 lakhs. Donations will be gratefully accepted with Income Tax exemption which is registered under section 80(G) and 12 A (a) of Income Tax Act. 1961. You can send in your donations in cheque and DD at the below mentioned address.
