Kochi Gurudwara is the only Gurudwara in the whole of Kerala
. This Gurudwara is located in Perumanoor, Chakkalakkal Road, placed very near the Buddhist settlements in the city of kochi. Perumanoor is at about 3 kilometers from the downtown Kochi.
Guerudwara, the meeting place for the few sikhs in Kochi, was established and inagurated in the year 1975. The noteworthy point in the Kochi Gurudwara is that it has only one entrance it is said that it was because of the space constraints. This is unusual because all the traditional Gurudwaras have four entrances in all the four sides for the people to get in and out as they like. This is a mark of the open mindedness practised by Sikhism.
In this Gurudwara The Durbar Hall is placed in the first floor and the Community Kitchen Guru ka Langar is placed on the ground floor. Food is provided free to all irrespective of religion or caste. Sikh Families assemble here every sunday at 11 am and wednesday at 7 pm to offer prayers.
