Six caparisoned and ornamented elephants and folk performers accompany the procession and add colour to the event. You can see Duffmuttu and Kolkali, the muslim art forms, also during the festival. There will also performances of song and Dance at this time.
This famous Kodikuthu festival takes place at about 25 kilometers from the city of Kochi. and draws devotees from all over the world. There is no caste or creed for participating in this festival and it is not considered to be a pure muslim festival. You can see a communal harmony in this and Hindus also throng to the mosque.
