"Kallanchery" - An Island in Kumbalanghy (India's first model Tourism Village) situated at about 12 Kms from South Railway Station,Ernakulam has a natural scenic beauty. Here you can have a wonderful journey on country boats through the backwaters covering an auspecious view of mangrove forest. In the boat they serve Shell fish fry, Spicy Crab with Toddy(if u prefer) & Roasted Prawns. After having this wonderful journey you can visit the Crab farm Centre , can take part in fishing activities using chinese nets . Under the fascinating effects of Sunset you can spend at Coconut grooves, just take a small nap in the swinging nets. You will be allowed to leave the place after a traditionel dinner with Appam & karimeen pollichathu ( a traditional fish curry, Taste never leaves you even after u leave the place), then Rice with three to five curries finally concluding with a Palpayasam. If you are intrested they will arrange for some cultural programmes also... So get ready for a wonderful experience with your family/freinds.
