Sree Poornathrayesa temple is located in tripunithura in the district of Ernakulam of Kerala . Lord Vishnu is the presiding deity of the temple in the form of Santhana GopalaKrishnaswamy. This idol is said to be installed at the temple by Arjuna one of the Pandava Brothers.
The Lord is seated on Adisesha and the peculiarity of this Panchaloha idol is that it doesn't seem to touch the ground. Gingelly oil / Sesame oil, known as Nallenna or Ellenna in malayalam is said to be the best offering to the God Santhana Gopalakrishnaswamy and is considered very auspicious too.
Three festivals are celebrated annually at the temple, the main among them is the festival which lasts for 8 days. The highlights of the festival are Seeveli and 'Koottiyezhunnallippu' on the fourth day. Various art forms of Kerala, like Kathakali, Chakyarkoothu and Ottanthullal are arranged during the festival time.
The other festivals celebrated at the Shri Poornathrayeesa Temple are Ombatham Utsavam on the ninth day of Thulam month (October) and the birthday of the Lord on the Uthram day in the malayalam month of Kumbham (February–March)
