Marine Drive is the most picturesque promenade in Kochi city in the state of Kerala of India. The promenade is the favourite hangout of all the locals as well as the tourists coming into Kerala. You just cannot drive through as the name suggests, it is just a walkway.
The Marine Drive stretches from the Jankar Jetty in the north to the Ernakulam Boat Jetty in the south while adjoining many famous buildings like Public Ground, Skyline apartments, Federal Bank Building, the GCDA Shopping Complex, the Kerala Trade Center (under construction), Abad Bay Pride Mall, Pioneer Towers, Hotel Taj Residency, DD Samudra Darshan apartment, and the India Priyadarshini Children's Park These buildings are placed with Marine Drive on one side and Shanmugham Road on the other.
High Court Junction is the starting point of the walkway and goes on until the Rajendra Maidan with many boat jetties along the walkway. Marine Drive is one of the most important centers of shopping activity, with several shopping malls and fast food joints like Marrybrown, DiMark, Barista etc are placed at the Marine Drive walkway.
There is a public ground at the northern part of the Marine Drive in which major exhibitions and political meetings are held and landmarks have been made in politics
